Kanye West just loves to sample

December 3rd, 2008 by admin

So a friend of mine sent me this video below showing most of Kanye’s songs and where he got/stole the beats from. After watching the video and reading the comments, people were calling my man Kanye a swagger jacker. I mean what is that all about. This dude is a top class producer that knows good music, samples it, tweaks it and gives us something we love to hear. The best way to flatter another artist is to use his or her work in yours and in that sense Kanye is a smooth talker. It was striking how many songs he has sampled but what the hell go buy his new album 808’s and Heartbreak. Its some good stuff as my friend Ekeh would say, it is that legal coke.

This might be a little long and profane, but you will appreciate it.

First of all, who gives a shit whether Kanye samples or not. And why do people like to hate on 808’s.

NYTimes, Chicago Tribune, and over 15 other major American publications gave this album bad reviews. Some even dismissed him as crazy and delusional.

These mutherfuckers are sick in the head. I listened to this album first time, wasn’t too sure about it. But a week later, I am ADDICTED to that joint.

How can any normal person listen to “Paranoid” and “Robocop” and not want to scream to the lyrics. Please, haters. The beats are so dope, it’s not even funny.

It’s like Euro pop meets African drums, meets Autotune; like it’s so unique and different.

And on top of all that you have Young Jeezy spitting out lines like “I’m standing on the podium, tryna watch my sodium”

Seriously, anyone who thinks this album sucks is a idiot and should stop listening to music. Period. I’m done ranting now.

PS: Same thing for Common’s new album. It’s fucking awesome. It’s also experimental, but EVERY song is a single on its own. Haters dissed the album big time, but I don’t care. They don’t know shit.

Nonso I agree with you. I just said what you said in a nicer way :-)
